Founder
Harry Tompkin
Harry, son of an architect, developed his eye for detail and design as a boy. Visiting construction sites from a young age instilled in him a need and understanding of structure. He went on to earn a degree in English literature, where his understanding of meaning and symbology took root.
After studying under other stained glass artisans, he started The Palace Glass Company in 1981. He is passionate about spreading beauty through stained glass art and loves sharing his experience with the next generation of stained glass artisans. In his free time, you’ll find him reading books of all genres, enjoying nature, and cooking gourmet meals for his wife.
